What makes Sunshine Social Squad unique?
Sunshine Social Squad was founded by a pediatric speech language pathologist, special needs educator, and occupational therapist, each with over 30 years of experience working in their respective fields. We realize that all areas of development impact social skills, and have blended our knowledge in order to build a curriculum that targets the whole child. This includes a focus on social language, cooperative play, self-regulation, flexible thinking and problem solving.
How do I pay for group sessions?
We accept payment from the Family Empowerment scholarship as well as private pay. Our sessions are generally not covered by insurance, and we are not in network with any insurance plans.
Do parents sit in on sessions?
Our group sessions are “drop off”, meaning that parents do not sit on the sessions. We will communicate with parents via a group text after the session with general comments about the activities of the day; we will also provide individualized feedback via phone calls so that families can stay updated regarding their child’s progress.
